REGISTRATION POLICIES
FOR BCT CLASSES

1. BCT reserves the right to cancel, combine, or reschedule classes
due to insufficient enrollment. Please indicate alternate choice(s)
in the event your preferred class is not available.

2. One 10% discount per family may be applied for any of the following:
tax-deductible contribution of $100 or more per year; concurrent
enrollment in an additional class by the same student or a sibling
(first class is full-fee; the second class only receives discount.
Scholarship assistance is available; call Executive Director to
request confidential financial aid form.

3. Consultation to determine the most appropriate class placement
is welcome. It is not possible either to observe or to attend any
class prior to registration. Commitment to the entire session must
be made in advance, for the benefit of the student, instructor,
and class. Payment in full is required in at time of registration,
prior to the first class meeting. NO REFUNDS are possible after
the first class meeting. Thank you for your cooperation.

4. Punctual attendance is expected at all class meetings, unless
the instructor has been notified in advance of absence due to illness
(Please call 424-6634 to report absence). Children
should be dropped off and picked up promptly, as BCT cannot provide
supervision outside the building after dismissal. Please allow adequate
time for traffic and parking.
CREATIVE
DRAMATICS - First class inviting youngsters into the magical
world of pretend, using the imagination, body, and voice to make story
ideas come to life.
IMPROVIZATION
- Basic technique for younger actors; audience and self-awareness; emphasis
on development of technique through improvization.
ELEMENTS OF ACTING - Character development and scene
study for more experienced upper-elementary and middle-school actors.
Combination of improvization techniques and use of appropriate scripted
materials.
TEEN ACTING WORKSHOP - Basic classes for beginning
and intermediate teens; scene study and character development using
the tools of the actor. Excellent ground work for auditions and productions.
PLAYWRITING - Introduction to the craft of playwriting,
for BCT’s MILESTONE MOMENTS Playwriting Contest or personal development;
also provides a useful perspective for dedicated actors in the evaluation
and interpretation of written scripts.
MUSIC/DANCE SHOWCASE - Focus on vocal music and dance
training, with an in-house finale as part of last class. REQUIREMENT:
Enrollment in core class.
SPECIAL PROJECTS CLASS - Current projects include special
interactive performances in October, January, and March, and other community
collaborations and corporate events. By permission of Director.
